Utilizing TEE we are having problems with shadow effect obscuring the target anatomy for LA/LV therapy.  The distal tip of the therapy device is made of 304 stainless steel.  Am unable to reposition the TEE probe such that the device does not fall between the crystal and the target anatomy.  Does anyone have experience with materials alternate to SS or coatings that can be applied to minimize the "brightness" of the return and minimize shadowing?
