Mishella is a MFM & Fetal Echo Sonographer from the University of California San Diego Medical Center. Mishella has over 10 years of experience in high-risk obstetrics and during the span of time, she developed a specialized passion in Fetal Echo.

Mishella loves to teach, mentor, and serve as a national speaker to share her knowledge in fetal ultrasound with the community. At UCSD Medical center, Mishella currently leads the Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship Ultrasound Training Program and is also a Perinatal Clinical Practice Instructor for the Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound students at the University of California San Diego Medical Center.

Mishella is focused on putting her passion and skills to good use by supporting organizations and projects that she really cares about whether for clinical research, volunteering time to educate and train sonographers & imaging specialists.

Hi, Lorena, I passed the FE exam last week and I am so excited just reviewed the two books in about 3 weeks. They are Davies and Drose.

Hi Jianping, I am also planning to take my Fetal Echo. I did buy the davies Fetal Echo Review book. The book only has questions and answers but it serves it good purpose! Let me know if you get your hands on other good material.

The Fetal Echocardiography Community meeting at the AIUM Annual Convention will be held Sunday, April 7, 2013, in the Gramercy/Olmstead room on the 7th floor of the Marriott Marquis. Remember that you can earn up to 1 CME credit for attending.  Come share your ideas for the 2014 convention as well as the future of fetal echo.

$50,000 Available for Assessing Point-of-Care Ultrasound Applications

The AIUM’s Endowment for Education and Research (EER) has issued a request for applications (RFA) for studies to assess competency in point-of-care ultrasound applications, defined as ultrasound imaging for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes performed on the patient by a provider in real time as a component of a care episode. The EER has allocated up to $50,000 for 1 or more grants. The submission deadline is March 1, 2012. More detailed information is available on the AIUM website.
