Permalink Reply by Anthony E. Swartz on September 7, 2009 at 10:14pm I'm referring to the technique of using SIS during Bx as a method of eliminating "blind biopsy" that is characteristic of the traditional way of obtaining endometrial specimens. Not doing a Bx right after SIS.

Permalink Reply by Dr MM Nurus shafi on March 3, 2010 at 8:16am Yes - I work for an OB/GYN physician and we routinely perform SIS with bx with great success - if during the SIS we see evidence of something that looks suspicious, we are ready then and there with just a small amount of additional prepping of pt to perform a bx - of course this is discussed as a possibility with pt beforehand as you are aware of those pt's that you strongly suspect are going to need a bx considering their hx and symptoms~
