Every ultrasound specialty. One professional network.

As a humble Diag sonologist I have occasional experience of encountering patients insisting on probing his area of pain/ interest with the transducer ,even when I know it to be futile, eg placing the probe on throat in a case of globus/ lump illusion in throat. What are the the ethical factors concerned;

Though it is not an ethical aproach yet it has
Definite role on phycolgical aspect. One of my Professor put his stethescope over frontal area upon vauge complaine of headace of elderly patient during his his routne round. He is doing that not to auscaltate bruite but to get confidence of patient that he is examining to elucidate the cause of headache.
