I have to say I have not heard that before however that would be a question better suited for The Physicians and experts. ( Sonographer) Very very interesting. I will ask our Perinatologist tomorrow.

Wish to find out if really fetal kidney length can be used to estimate GA?...If yes, where or how can one get the chart for this?....Need your help. thanks.

Hello evry one I am new here but some of the respected members do now me
I was working on Dengue Fever and its Cotrol, and a case came to my center, she was infected by the Dengue Virus and on the other hand she was having pregnancy of about 14 weeks, my question to the respectable members is, Can the fetus be infected with Dengue Virus while the mother is already been infected for the last two days, What are the effects posibely be on the fetus  while its mother being febrile for the last 2 days untreated.

What posibely be the role of placenta in this case

will be very greatfull to get the answers thanks in advane

$50,000 Available for Assessing Point-of-Care Ultrasound Applications

The AIUM’s Endowment for Education and Research (EER) has issued a request for applications (RFA) for studies to assess competency in point-of-care ultrasound applications, defined as ultrasound imaging for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes performed on the patient by a provider in real time as a component of a care episode. The EER has allocated up to $50,000 for 1 or more grants. The submission deadline is March 1, 2012. More detailed information is available on the AIUM website.
