$50,000 Available for Assessing Point-of-Care Ultrasound Applications

The AIUM’s Endowment for Education and Research (EER) has issued a request for applications (RFA) for studies to assess competency in point-of-care ultrasound applications, defined as ultrasound imaging for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes performed on the patient by a provider in real time as a component of a care episode. The EER has allocated up to $50,000 for 1 or more grants. The submission deadline is March 1, 2012. More detailed information is available on the AIUM website.

Hi Dr Ben, other replies to this question have suggested that it is worth persevering with renal Doppler studies in neonates. You can read them by clicking on the discussion forum.
Thanks

Hi, i am DR.Ben,
Most of the times pediatric ultrasound exams are normal study. IS It true?. Then mostly as infants are crying while scanning except few solid abdominal organs, rest are not well studied. Is it true

What does the group feel about doing full renal Doppler exams in neonates for hypertension? Has anyone ever picked up a renal artery stenosis in a baby?
