I have worked mainly on breast imaging the last decade. Plus perfluorocarbon microdroplet evaporation in the blood by ultrasound.
Omental fat is apparently the major cause of failed ultrasound exams in the abdomen. I wonder whether fat is a major consideration in echocardiography. Particularly a more fibrous fat than typical subcutaneous.
